Before adding Content Links

Before adding your Content Links to your protected pages, you should edit them to make sure the following fields are how you want them:

You can always edit these fields in the future, but if you change "What can members do with this content", you'll need to manually replace that Content Link you placed on any protected pages.

How to add download/popup Content Links

This is for PDFs, images, videos, mp3s, or files

  1. Start by clicking Copy next to the Content Link:

If you can't click copy, instead, right-click "Link" and then click "Copy link address".

  2. Make sure you are logged into your Showit backend.
  3. Click Site on the left:

  4. Under Pages, find the page you want to add the Content Link to and click it.
  5. Next, click Page at the top:

  6. Use the options at the bottom of the page to add a new content block wherever you want:

  7. You can add Content Links to a page just like you would add any other link. So, you can use a Text block, Gallery block, Rectangle block (i.e. a Button), or Embed Code block. In this example, we'll use a Gallery block:

  8. Upload whatever image you want to represent the link under Gallery Images on the right:

  9. Then, under Click Actions, change the link 'Type' to URL.  After, paste the Content Link you previously copied beside URL:

  10. Click Publish at the top right. To test this, you'll need to be on your live website, not the Showit editor.
